New Deal "Adventures Of Justin" Skateboard Deck 9.72″ X 31.4″

Skateboard concave refers to how much the sides of the deck curve upwards. There are three types of concave and they are low, medium and high.

For beginners, I recommend starting with a low to medium concave because it usually feels comfortable and stable while learning. As you gain experience, you can replace the deck with a lower or higher concave based on your personal preference.

A higher concave makes the edges of the board feel more noticeable under your feet, which some skaters prefer for flip tricks. However, if the board feels too responsive or flips more than you want, a medium concave may give you better control.

For decks between 7.75 and 7.875 inch deck, I recommend 5.0-inch trucks. For decks between 8.0 and 8.125 inches, I recommend 5.25-inch trucks or Independent 139s. For decks between 8.25 and 8.375 inches, I recommend 5.5-inch trucks or Independent 144s. For an 8.5-inch deck, I recommend 5.75-inch trucks or Independent 149s.

Grip tape is sold separately. However, for every skateboard deck in your cart, one sheet of grip tape automatically receives $10 off at checkout. Simply add both the deck and grip tape to your cart, and the discount will be applied automatically.

To build a complete skateboard, you need one skateboard deck, one sheet of grip tape, one pair of trucks, four wheels, eight bearings and one set of hardware.

To make this easier, you can use my 3D Custom Skateboard Builder on the Board Customiser page. It lets you choose your deck, grip tape, trucks, wheels, bearings and hardware, then preview how your custom skateboard looks in real time before ordering.
